I am in no way saying MLCad is bad, just the 3d view rotation. By the way, you were wrong about both of those programs being paid for, ZModeler is free. I do know how much work goes into 3D, but I'm not referencing to anything that involves changing (...) (21 years ago, 13-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

In my opinion, the whole rendering system should be made Direct3D although that I know will create problems with culling. What really bugs me though is the EXTREMLEY difficult-to-use 3D rotaton. Michael, Could you look at the possibility of adding an option to let the user change the default Models directory to something other than the directory created by LDRAW? I like to keep my models in Windows' My Documents folder for ease of backup (...) (21 years ago, 19-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
