(...) About 6 years ago there was a build of ldglite ran in 64bit linux on an alpha processor. I'm just starting out with LDraw and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get anything running under my 64 bit Ubuntu 7.10 system. I'm mostly interested in LeoCAD, since it is the only native Linux building system that I know of. Since there are no (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-08, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.leocad)

It searches for subparts relative to the part location ../p/, ../parts/, ../parts/s/. What are the official and unofficial folders called? (...) Here's the weird thing. I had the subpart in both the main ldrawpartss folder and also the unofficial folder. But I only had the main file in the official folder. Hmm, for me that trick worked. When I check the 'fixed direction keys' option everything works exactly like in the previous versions of Leocad. Sorry, I have no idea what to do now. (20 years ago, 25-May-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

Edit: The arrow keys always work in the direction of the last selected part. This functionality is very unlogically because one single parts moves to different directions by using the same arrow key depending on which other part(s) is (are) (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

No that's not always true. In order to have the arrow keys always work in the same directions follow this procedure: go to View -> Preferences -> tab 'Drawing Aids' and check the 'Fixed direction keys' option Succes, Robert (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)
