Nope, Project Builder and Interface Builder provide very robust GUIs
(although you can use the command line if you want to). Compiling takes a
*bit* more effort than just double clicking the file, of course... more
like double click... and then pick "build" from the "build" menu. ;)

Agreed. I would be glad to provide such a precompiled version - although I
would like to obtain the permission of the GLUT's author before doing so.

Agreed as well. I will begin looking into that too. Hmm, I just realized
that there is a slightly simpler way of manually installing the new GLUT,
where you don't have to use the command line as much (but still a bit). I
will update the GLUT4.txt file accordingly in a few minutes.

An understandable sentiment. However, the new GLUT does not seem to be an
extension to the system as much as better implementation of a feature
already offered. This does not mean that there are no potential problems
with it - I have discovered none - but I do think it means that it is not
as likely to cause conflicts.

Yes! Especially the disappearing cursor when editing file names, that
annoys me nearly every day.

| (...) I would expect that the installation of the Developer Tools is straight forward. I din't install them because the readme said that 700 MB of space were required. I have been playing with iMovie, and I regularrly fill my drive to capacity with (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
