(...) Another positive side-effect of not using the registry is if you have to move the folder that all your LDraw related tools are stored in, you dont have to dig through the registry to fix all the path names. I had to do this and it was a big (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I just tested a POV-RAY scene with my syster's pc the P-75 and it took 35seconds with the dos version of POV-RAY In my P-3 pc takes 2 - 3 seconds with windows XP runing using a command line dos window. About making a boot disk with povray.exe "dos" (...) (22 years ago, 15-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) I tried it recently, but I am afraid I am too used to writing my models in `vi` to apprecate the interface. Speed-wise it seemed okay. I understand where you're coming from, but I personally feel that the registry does have its place, if used properly. Mind you, most programs don't use it properly in my opinion. LDView uses the registry to remember your settings, and to remember (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) cross compiler supports ADA so I built the windows versions for you and uploaded it to ldraw.org. Look for /home/dheyse/mpd_fil..._win32.zip The new executables seem to have longer names than the buildmpd and splitmpd mentioned on the MPD (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  New Plugin for LDDesignPad
 
I've completed my first plugin for LDDesignPad. It will take a file and BfC certify for CCW winding. There are a few limitations: 1.) It doesn't handle bad vertex sequences, so these need to be fixed prior to running. 2.) It won't add INVERTNEXT (...) (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I was wondering, didn't see it discussed in the text, is it permitted / custom to have ldraw files in a mpd file reference other mpd files? Hello to everyone, I'm working a small tool similar to l3p addon but it will be very simple, basic, won't need any dll and won't use windows registry. Well this post mainly is to say that I have a suggestion / idea for all ldraw related software (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
