Lars, I used L3P this weekend. Since this is my first time using it, I tested only very simple uses. No problems found, unless you consider it a bug that it behaves badly with CR line endings. Thanks all. For now, I guess I will use just 3648 and indicate the appropriate version in the notes column. Hmm...maybe I need to add "learn how to create LDraw parts" to my ever-growing LEGO ToDo List (although I somehow suspect that 3648 might not (...) (...) Right. For some renderers. Basically, in standard LDraw renderers, the backside surfaces can still be culled, because multiple layers of transparent surfaces look the same as a single layer. hi folks, a few days ago I had a discussion with Chris Dee about the two sections of reference-pages on ldraw.org. to me it is not comprehensible why the general reference page has a direct link at the homepage, while the more useful specifications (...) Hehehe. I don't think ldglite broke with 10.2... I had a bad LDRAW folder (well, it wasn't the linux distro). Anyway, at least I found out that the makefile needs to be fixed: (...)   Capitalization of filenames
 
It seems like a while back, parts were supposed to have the extension ".DAT". But I'm seeing that all the links on ldraw.org seem to point to files with ".dat" at the end. What's the scoop- are lower-case filenames considered ideal now? Which ldraw (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

hear hear! and while you're at it please shove in some basic tutorials and bake them crispy transportable so i can easily provide my not online nephews (my sister couldn't afford all her children playing online all the time) with the basic stuff. I think the reason for the capital .DAT extension is because LDraw was original DOS. If you install the original package under windows, all directories and files will be capitals as well. Furthermore I do not experience any problems with lower or (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I am really confused about the variations on the 24-tooth Technic gear which appear in quite a number of the sets I am attempting to inventory/verify.   Update: BrickDraw3D 0.5b fixes folder bug on OS X
 
Version 0.5b (says 0.5 in Finder until you do Get Info) New features: Can choose LDRAW folder in the carbon version. Let me know about this. Cleaned up the rendering options greatly. I like having a parts list. It makes a HUGE difference. I also love being able to click and drag the parts. What determines what plane the part is dragged in? Sorry about the preferences file gotcha. The workaround is to copy your preferences file from Classic. Choose the LDRAW folder in Classic. Copy the file from /System Folder/Preferences/BrickDraw3D Preferences to ~/Library/Preferences/ cp "/System (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
