  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Update

(...) Sure! The instructions on the web page are written for people who have some experience with Emacs already. This is not done to scare off people who are new to Emacs, but because I'm lazy and because I wasn't expecting people who are not into (...) (24 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  open source & inventory ?

Hello, I've just resently discovered Ldraw and Mlcad and I'm absolutely amazed at the power of these programs, allthough I've not yet build a real model (other than the tutorial). I have got 2 questions however. 1) Are any of the programs open (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

But I failed to see how to formalize the procedure, so I suspended (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) The procedure is this: the parts authors (that's a bunch of people) create and maintain parts files. They send their files to the parts administrator (that's me).   Re: next ldraw part update, space/minifig accessories?

(...) Yes. :) (...) At some point, the parts in the Castle, Town, and Space categories need to be reorganized, moved to other categories. Generally, the theme-based groups make parts harder to find. Steve (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I've got the 4589.dat file in my ldraw\parts directory, dated January 9, 1997. This date indicates that 4589 should be in the ldraw.exe distribution file. Oh, wait: here's the problem. i've noticed that a few ldraw pieces have extremely drawn-out descriptions. for instance: we have the "technic pin with friction", 4459.dat 'with friction'? it should be called a "technic friction peg", or "technic friction pin" 50.dat has a good (...)
