Reviewing duties (was Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker)

Re: The use of type 5 lines for smoothing of objects.

Hmmm, Finally a use for the type 5 lines I've been ignoring :) (I have another - so far successful - way of drawing in those lines) (...) Well alot of this leads in a direction I've mentioned before. Which is adding strip and mesh info into the (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: The use of type 5 lines for smoothing of objects.

(...) I tend to agree with you. My suggestion to Travis was based on about 2 seconds of thought when I read his email. It occured to me that type 2 lines are used to denote hard edges so I mentioned the possibility of using them instead of type 5 (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(Please notice "follow-up"! ;-) (...) I'd be a good candidate for grumpy, myself... Or sleepy... Or sneezy, for that matter (I got some *really bad* allergies!)... Or Doc, maybe... ;-) Franklin (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker

(...) I understand. (...) And I apologize if I came across as ... grumpy. Or maybe sleepy or dopey. Anyway, I'll stick with my previously stated viewpoint: if there are primitives on the tracker, let's make it a priority to either certify them or (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: The use of type 5 lines for smoothing of objects.

(...) One thing that someone noted (I think it was Don Heyse) when I mentioned this was that it might be possible to instead check for the lack of type 2 lines of color 24 between two adjoining faces, and use this as an indicator that the two faces (...)   The use of type 5 lines for smoothing of objects.

Hello people, this is my first post. A few weeks ago I mailed with Travis Cobbs and Lars Hassing about an algorithm I constructed to make objects look smoother. This can be done by using per vertex normals and smooth shading. The normals can be (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker

Steve, I see these as two separate issues: 1. The new version of the n-4disc files. 2. New versions of previously-existing primitives being considered "subfiles". Issue #1 is a current example illustrating issue #2. (Previously, the "BFC" primitives (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker

Franklin: Quit complaining and work on getting the unofficial primitives resolved! Then they won't affect other files on the tracker. Slapping a "hold" on them doesn't *really* resolve anything. Let's try it this way: Mark has made some changes to (...) (22 years ago, 8-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: The Ldraw future (was: Idea, using functions for some primitives.)

Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker

Re: bug report: "cert." list on tracker
