  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) How much of a pain? Can it be as simple as a window prompting them to give approval to add them? Or is it much more painful than that? (...) Sounds good, we'll have a better picture of what's needed as far as a menu goes when resources are (...) (25 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

Thanks. I never thought of that. One thing I know, though, I am getting one of these CDs as soon as I can! Adam Mike Stanley <cjc@NOSPAMnewsguy.com> wrote in message news:ruqo9sc26ah72os...4ax.com... (...) would (...) if (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) Wouldn't try that. Too many people don't have VB runtimes installed, and just throwing them on the CD doesn't work (unless you want to make people install them first, which is a pain, but could work). I tried going this route when I was (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

I can't be sure of this, but I might try a Visual Basic program that would give the user a option of what programs to install and where. That away, if the user doesn't want all the stuff on the harddrive, he doesn't have to install it. Another thing (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Ok, well I guess it was better phrased 'traditional bank,' and I was referring to a building with a foundation, four walls, and people who work inside. One that has a canopy you can drive under and press buttons. :) I guess internet- based (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

Note, I'm in the press the CD camp... at least for now, but I reserve the right to change sides. :-) (...) I think the idea is that the CD-r is something that could be updated with new stuff but still using the same jacket, just a small sticker (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) I'm referring to www.x.com but I'm not sure what you mean by "normal" bank. :-) I got checks printed by them with my name on them, I can go to a local ATM and use the debit card to get money out of the account, just like any other checking (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) Actually, not all the stuff is there. And it would be best to include some resources which are not on ldraw.org, such as the LDraw and LEdit tutorial, personal creations, animations, etc. The HTML Guide to the CD-ROM that I have in my head (...)   Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

  Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

Well, since we've discussed some of the logistics behind producing the CD, its time to get the organization down. First off, I'll send out emails to everyone who has contributed a utility that works with the LDraw system, and get permission to (...)   Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) $100 to ship 650 cds (even with pouches) sounds high. I ordered 500 blank CDs with jewel cases that I guarantee weighed more and took up just as much room as 650 with cardboard pouches and shipping was in the thirties. (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project
