Re: Hidden surface removal, and vertex order in part/primitive DAT files

(...) If you run a LUGNET search on backface culling, you'll find extensive discussion of this. Some parts (mostly done by Steve Bliss) have a "0 CW- Compliant" tag, which means you can use backface culling on them. It would be pretty amazing if you (...)   Part 2409

Heya all ! Where can I download part number 2409 and all other parts ? I need this part for my PD model for Datsville. Where can I get all LDraw parts ? (It was on geocities but now I can't find it.) Thanx. Rene e-mail: virsik@sco.svf.stuba.sk (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hidden surface removal, and vertex order in part/primitive DAT files

I performed some hidden surface removal tests today (I should have been working on other things, like the inventory file cleanup utility...) and it appears that there isn't a standard order for listing vertices in DAT files (I only tested a few (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Question on Colors for MLCad!

Ok, MLCad already supports color meta commands of LDLite except the naming feature, I'll try to implement this into the next version, along with some suggestions from the articles arround "Suggestions for developers of LCAD programs. But one (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: anyone else notice this?

(...) Hello Jonathan, After a bitter conflict I've been able to wriggle my way back again to my former workplace. I had almost no access to internet during that time, so I used it very wisely. As you may have noticed on the parts tracker by now, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) colors go (...) 0-15, 32-47, and 255-511 are LDraw-supported colors. There are a number of other colors < 100 supported by LDLite (check the documentation). LDLite also supports the COLOR meta command by which the user can custom define any (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Chrome in new LCAD programs

(...) Have you looked at the LDLite extended meta-statements? Among other things, they allow colors to be defined and redefined in models. I'd recommend supporting these commands -- for some of them (probably the rotate, translate, and transform (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: gone fishin

(...) All the standard colors are in the LDraw FAQ. Now, if someone wants to research RGB values for some of the newer colors, that'd be very cool. STeve (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Question on Colors for MLCad!

  Chrome in new LCAD programs

Gary: It'd be great if your program rendered color 383 (and 503) more like official LEGO instructions rather than like LDraw/LDlite. I don't know how difficult that would be too implement, though. --Bram PS: try not to be overwhelmed by all these (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
