to all the people who are criticising me. i will try and get a baseplate 32 x 32 raised with ramp from someone i know who might have one. if i can do that i will dig out my bits and pieces and measure the god damn part. will that make you hapy. (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Ditto. As cool as Flash and Shockwave can be, they should always be optional, with no real loss of content to those not choosing to use them. I love Flash, don't get me wrong. But I do recognize it as mostly fluff when it comes to actually (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: fixed part: JW's parts

(...) No, I had no desire to play semantics with you and debate whether or not any part needs to be "absolutely perfect". I never used those words. What I meant to make clear, and what I think anyone with two neurons to rub together would have (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) Kinda hard to use AutoCAD after MicroStation, neh? ;-) I would rather use MicroStation on a Berkeley / UNIX Sys-5 box with a VAX in the network for mass storage (1) than a comparable version of AutoCAD on a PC any day. (...) This is kind of (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Dimensions of the parts

(...) Yep, In fact, Microstation is what I used at work also. (...) That's basically what I was trying to get across. I also had the same conclusion about the difficulties. (...) Hmmm, Yes, It would be nice to be able to "rotate" the coordinate (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings

Tomorrow if all works out well I will be able to begin the creation of the images for ldraw.org and begin coding shortly thereafter. A few things need to be worked out between now and then, and in the near future when the methods for making the (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Correct. I was just inquiring about it - not stating that I was going to make that a priority. (...) You are also correct here. I don't fully realize how it complicates it, and maybe that is in part the reason for my enthusiasm about it. I (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

There are part creation tips in the Ldraw FAQ, but a specific tutorial does not exist. To directly answer your question, a quad takes the form: 4 16 x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 x3 y3 z3 x4 y4 z4 4 is the line type, 16 is the color, and then the 4 points (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) is (...) parts, (...) AFAIK there isn't any right now, but you do bring up a good point. I think that a parts tutorial would be very appropriate for ldraw.org, if someone wants to write one. I will be able to start site design in Photoshop and (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

Hi Everybody! This my first Intentional post to this group, and I hope it is in the right place. I was wondering if there was an LDraw Part Creation Tutorial. I made some bitmaps of Starwars decorations, and I'd like to make them into actual parts, (...) (26 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
