  Re: Update 9906

(...) I got the fixes. Thanks for the rapid turn-around, Chris! About 973s01 - I don't remember if this subfile ever had a back surface. The name does clearly state that there's no back: "~Subpart Minifig Torso without Front or Back". IIRC, the back (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) (rereading what I wrote) Uh, durrr, that came out as hogwash, didn't it. I meant, if the pages that are created dynamically happen to come out the same as though they had been served statically (IOW, if it's static content generated (...)   Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) Yes. That AND the sort of data you are fetching. In certain cases, a DB engine that has cached the results of queries, coupled with a requesting program that can use the results straightaway, can be faster than a raw filesystem, even if the (...)   Re: Update 9906

(...) Looks like both John and I mistakenly assumed that s\973s01.dat is the torso missing the front surface - in fact it is missing the back as well to cater for those rare torsos with decoration on the back. I sent a corrected version of 973p34 to (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

(...) I have to wonder about that assertion in a really skeptical way. In either case, assuming the filesystem and the database aren't poorly written, the amount of RAM in the server is really the gating factor. If you have 50 MB of static files and (...)   Re: part 2951, some questions

(...) I'd say that's a good place to put the origin. On the other hand, the user is fairly likeliy to tilt the bucket off an axle in either the upper or the lower pegholes, so centering the part in the centre of either the upper or lower pegholes (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Update 9906  [DAT]

Hi, I was looking at the new parts and discovered that 2 torsos (973p34 and 973p101) are missing some faces from the back. It's not a big deal but it should be fixed on the next update. Also, 4522 (Minifig Tool Mallet) has some blue faces: 1 1 0 0 (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: OMR Planning - Almost There

Tim: [ About instructions from non-Lugnuts. ] I wouldn't let non-Lugnuts post to Lugnet through ldraw.org. We should rather let them upload to ldraw.org, and let the OMR editors post the instructions to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets if they qualify. To (...)   parts DESPERATLY wanted

I a,m desperate for the black seas baracuda pirate ship hull pieces in any form, mock-up,stand-in or whatever. I don't care how crude the dat files are, I just need them for several projects including my greek trireme warship. Oh and I need the oar (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  part 2951, some questions

I've managed to measure the 2951, and now I have a few questions. What is the preferred place for 0,0,0? I'd say exactly between the pegholes, but this is, as you know, my first piece, so enlighten me if I'm way off. Beneath every tooth, there is a (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDraw DAT certification for clones?

(...) Borland Pascal, Borland C/C++, and Microsoft C/C++ all use the IEEE format for floating point numbers (float, double and extended are all IEEE defined) because these are the formats supported by the 80x87 line math coprocessors. (Even though (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Division by Zero on startup of LDraw or LEdit

I recently downloaded these and any attempt to run them on my machine gives a Runtime Error #200. I looked this up and it's a division-by-zero error.   The parts tracker

I am thinking about setting up a new parts tracker (since the old one is gone). I will also create a matching sets tracker for posting of info on which TLG sets have been modeled. Sets will dissapear off the tracker after they are in the OMR. Both (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  New Program I am making

I might be making a new program. It will be a program to take a ldraw .dat file and identify if there are any parts used in the model that are unofficial. How will it do this? It will use the official parts.lst files posted every update. What I need (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDraw: New Parts Update Available

(...) My mirror site is updated. I don't have a parts list made, but I get the feeling that mainly people just grab the parts and go anyway, so probably won't get around to doing it unless I can find it already made someplace else. (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
