Re: Piece needed to finish MOC Naboo Fighter

(...) Yes, someone *please* do this. It has been on my wish list for ages. One of those "I can't believe it hasn't been done" pieces. (1) -- Terry K -- 1. FYI, the piece does exist in Lutz's L2P. (25 years ago, 19-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Piece needed to finish MOC Naboo Fighter

I wasn't at all pleased with the Naboo Fighter set, so I redesigned it to more closely match the movie ship. I've finished the Ldraw File, but I'm missing one piece... I know it has been asked for before, but I don't remember if anybody ever (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Suggestion for part authors

(...) Good suggestion John. Something else for the QA process. I think I mentioned this before, but it would be real neat if there were a super-wireframe mode that rendered all optional lines. Any chance of this sometime in the future please, Paul ? (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Name Question

(...) Now that I think about it, it probably isn't necessary. I had a hard time positioning things on the end using John's mock-up, but I just realized it was probably because he was using one of the 'stud' primitives. So, Nevermind. ;) Jeff (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Name Question

(...) Hadn't thought about that. Is it that important to view a stud instead of a line in LEdit? Seems like this piece has a 'normal geometry', so that it wouldn't make sense to defeat the line-as-stud option. (...) Yes. Steve (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Suggestion for part authors

Just thought I'd mention that the wireframe view in LDLite is a great tool for part authors to check the edge lines and conditional lines in their parts before submission. Edge line omissions are usually much more obvious in this view, so take a (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) There's a Sort function, but it sorts by position, bottom-to-top, back-to-front. (...) Hmm. I don't remember hearing about this problem before. Probably did, and it fell out of my brain. I will look into the LDAO/inline code, and see what's up. Steve (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Voting Comments

(...) I've thought about writing a function in LDAO to sort a DAT file by line-type: first the 2 (edges) and 5 (conditionals), then the 1 (may be edges, surfaces, or both) then the 3 (triangles) and 4 (quads). Steve (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
