  Abuse (was: Re: Non-TLG Parts)

(...) jw is being abused not because his parts stink, but because his attitude does. If someone else performed exactly the same actions jw has, but more appropriate language, they wouldn't be abused at all. Steve (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [Newpart] - #2871, Electric Train 9V Motor Decorative Side

(...) Actually, he already has made worthwhile contributions -- he has three files in the official parts library, he has identified unnoticed errors in part files, and he has validated the part-voting process by providing previously unavailable (...)   Re: Minifig torso subpart (was suggestion for roadplate like parts)

(...) If we're going to change all torsos, why not remove the faces from their back as well ? There are some minifigs that have patterns in the back (like the one from the xtreme team) and in the future someone will probably model them. Leonardo (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  RE: [ldraw.org] L3P Question

(...) Sure. BTW, do you use the Bounding Box and model center info at the end of the POV file ? /Lars (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Minifig torso subpart (was suggestion for roadplate like parts)

(...) I absolutely agree to this. 9326-4t.dat does not belong in \parts. Hmm... how many are there? Little over a dozen? Yeah, I could do that. But I might be lazy and just leave it with the same file name. -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] L3P Question

(...) Understood. :-) I usually hack the heck out of the resulting .pov file anyway. Which reminds me, would it be possible to add an option to L3P so that it produces just a basic model file, no camera or lights, to use as an include file in a (...) (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New LDAO - Temp Location

I could give it a shot. Why not. Don't shoot me if I don't remember to do it. :-) But I will add it to the checklist. -- Terry K -- Guess I better actually _look_ at the date touching utility now. (...) (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: suggestion for roadplate like parts

there are other plates with more than one pattern: e.g. the 7-stud straight roadplate (comes in shuttle landing pad, airport runway plate, road plate). (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

as far as heads go, chris the head i want most is the robot head. some SW and ice planet heads would also be good. (i am replying to the mention that the preference of the community will influence the order that you do heads in). (26 years ago, 16-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Utility Spreadsheet

In lugnet.cad.dev, Steve Bliss writes: <snip> (...) Well actually ..... I have done the specific case of minifig heads in Excel, but the code is currently a bit too experimental to share.   Re: [ldraw.org] Shockwave Flash

(...) Hmmm.. Well, it does sound like an attractive option for file size, but IMO its too early since a lot of people still run 3.0 browsers. And IE5 hasn't been out that long. I just got it a couple weeks ago. If most IE users won't be able to see (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Minifig torso subpart (was suggestion for roadplate like parts)

(...) Actually the minifig torsos are an atypical example, I think, since the "subpart" (9326-4t.dat) is still in the Parts directory. For more recent decorated parts we have utilised the \S subdirectory. Does anyone have any objections if we move (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Foundations (Was: [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings)

"Incorporated" is abbreviated "Inc." "Corporated" (I think) is abbreviated "Co." So why not abbreviate "LDraw Organization" as "LDraw Org." "organization" seems too long to say anyway. (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Foundations (Was: [ldraw.org] Eve of Beginnings)

(...) I didn't intend it that way. I was just pointing out that "Foundation" doesn't have to mean a charitable organization. (...) I _definately_ didn't want to imply that. :) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

(...) This head appeared in Unitron, Exploriens, and some other stuff which is currently eluding me. Steve (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is there a Part creating Tutorial?

(...) Dak is a plain smiley. :) Gold Leader is the SPII head (in my mind, it's the "generic space head"). Steve (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
