(...) I think they are necessary. If you use this part with the armor, the notches are the cutouts from the armor edges. Mentally divide face 45 degrees either side of the centre line and draw the region from +45 to -45 as a plane, then project that onto the four facets of the hexdecagon. Then if necessary, do (...) Because Peeron and LDraw.org don't synchronize their temporary numbers (the xNNN numbers). Once a part file is officially released by ldraw.org, the Peeron database is usually (almost always) updated to use the official LDraw number. Steve (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

There is an error in the LGEO version of 4285.dat lg_4285.inc has only 6 web divisions, instead of the 8 that occur in the true LEGO part.
