How to get UNOFFICIAL parts files to show up on LDRAW/MLCAD

OK, I downloaded the unofficial parts files from ldraw.org and placed them in my "models" directory (so I don't contaminate my "official" parts directory), but how do I get MLCAD to switch to look at them? Nothing is shown under my "models" tree in (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Creating Patterned Parts

Now that my first part has been certified I'm going to continue on my quest to get all the part for the UCS Tie Fighter created.   Re: "Hold" placed on tyre (was Re: Tyre for this wheel, does it exist in the distro?

(...) In my opinion, this may be a valid reason to put "(needs work)" on a part. Or perhaps that's even too harsh. However, I'd much rather have this version of the part than no version at all.
