Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Marek Idec
Hi, I used the old PluginWheelGenerator without problems. It worked very fine. Unfortunately new version 1.1 doesn't work. Starting plugin I get message "I/O error 103", then plugin window opens but with empty list for holders. I suppose it's a (...) (22 years ago, 2-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Niels Karsdorp
(...) Hmm, I have to check that out at home. What version of LDDesignPad do you use? I haven't tried the newest version myself, yet. Do more people have this problem with the PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 or is Marek the only one? (Or does noone else use (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Marek Idec
(...) I use LDDesignPad version 1.3.0.0. I guess it's the newest one. I'm still able to use older version of PluginWheelGenerator but I'm not sure, what I lose using the old one instead of new one. Marek (22 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Niels Karsdorp
(...) I couldn't wait until I get home at the end of the day, so I I downloaded LDraw, LDDesignPad and PluginWheelGenerator and installed these at my work to try figuring out what could be wrong. I get the same error as you. I know the plugin works (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Marek Idec
(...) Niels, thanks a lot. I have installed my Lego software in different directory indeed. This is my old habit not to use C: drive for software which is not a part of operating system or almost like this (for example MS Office etc). Even if I (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Marek Idec
(...) Niels, I've just tested it and it still doesn't work. The same message "I/O error 103" appears. This workaround for version 1.1 you mentioned works perfectly. Version 1.1.1 unfortuanetely not. Where does your plugin search for paths? Regards, (...) (22 years ago, 8-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Marek Idec
(...) Niels, I made some investigations (sorry for that) and I found that your plugin attempts to open PluginColors.txt file from directory LDraw\Models\Plugins. Was it your intention? I should be rather Lddp\Plugins I suppose. When I copied files (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Niels Karsdorp
(...) Don't feel sorry, any help is welcome (...) The plugin tries to read the files from \Plugins as a subfolder in the current folder. The problem is determing the correct current folder. Unfortunately there is no entry in the registry where (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Orion Pobursky
(...) I use Delphi and do it this way: ExtractFilePath(Appl...n.ExeName) This will return the path LDDesignPad is installed in as a string. All you have to do is tack '\plugins' on the end to get the plugin directory. Also note that version 1.2 and (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Accessing LDDesingPad Application in a plugin —Niels Karsdorp
When improving a plugin I remembered a message by Orion: (...) How do you access Application? When I try this I get an error: Undeclared identifier: 'Application'. Niels (21 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Accessing LDDesingPad Application in a plugin —Orion Pobursky
(...) If you reference it the main plugin file then you'll get an error but if you reference it in a separate .pas file and then include that .pas file in the Uses statement of you main plugin file then it should work fine. I have no idea why it (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Niels Karsdorp
I created another fix, hopefully this one will solve the problem. I tried it with two different versions of LDDesignPad, installed at two different locations and it worked. Version 1.1.2 can now be downloaded from my site. (URL) have also added some (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem with PluginWheelGenerator 1.1 —Niels Karsdorp
(...) I could fix the problem for good. I just uploaded another version 1.1.2 of my PluginWheelGenerator that now uses the path settings from the registry, so it only works with LDDesignPad version 1.2 or later. (I had still 1.19 when I created my (...) (22 years ago, 9-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)
