Niels,
Some of those old 700 variations are shown on my parts compare page:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=8645
I think there is also a version with 2 rows of tubes, but I don't have a
picture of it yet.

For even more minor variations click on the Mold Variants folder:

I'm not involved with LDraw modeling, but I am a fan of minor variations,
like those discussed in this thread. Even minor variations can effect the
function of the brick. Hollow bottom bricks can be slid (or offset) relative
to the piece below, modern pieces with tubes can't. Hollow stud versions of
parts allow pieces (like rods) to be inserted into the hollow studs, or
bricks offset using the solid underside tube mating into the hollow stud. In
the case of the 2x2 cone, the completely hollow stud allows many more uses
that its solid stud or partially hollow stud companions.

Hope you find the pics useful. Let me know if you have any questions about
the pictures.

Thanks,
Clark

In the case of brick 700,
I know that the old versions did NOT have any tubes at the bottom.
Is that something that should be modeled?

I don't have any of those olde 700s, but I might locate one.
(Hopy my grandparents still have the box of lego...)
