  Re: curved train track

(...) Yes, I do own two of these parts. There are no slots and no notches at the ends - the under surface has 15 filled studs, just like the underside of a 1xn plate. However, I do not know which set they belong to. I found them in a mixed lot of (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: curved train track

(...) Fascinating. Idle speculation: ON. Maybe the more modern version of the mold wore out and since they might have been thinking that 4555 (and the WW mine set) were the last sets that would use the part for some period of time, dig out the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: curved train track

(...) Ofcourse, I was hoping that some new evidece would come up. Chris, thank you for offering to send me scans, but if Frank says that the part is *exactly* like the old blue tapered track, I believe his (and your) word on it. The main thing is (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) have 3 different parts -slots +notches in Blue (typical 4.5V) -slots -notches in Grey (rare) +slots -notches in Grey (typical 12V) If we are going to model all three (which I think we should), then maybe we should re-visit the 12V sleepers. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

(...) the (...) The blue track doesn't have a part number on it. It does have numbers on them but those seem not related to the part itself (for example I have a blue straight piece with the numbers 10-09 and another with 13-06). -Frank (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: curved train track

BTW, in case anyone hasn't guessed this, I've jumped into this thread in order to make sure I understand exactly which variations of the rails have which part numbers. I need to know so that we can get the parts released with the proper numbers. (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: curved train track

(...) My grey slotted track all have the known part numbers. My blue non slotted track seems to have the same mold/submold numbering scheme as the other blue track. They all have numbers like 4 D, 12 D, 8 D. -Chuck (24 years ago, 8-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad)
