Just curious.... How many total steps in the model (i.e. how many pages
before you did any step groups or callouts)? How many pages after laying out
the BIs with LPub 4? How long did it take to layout the BIs?

It had 111 steps (thus pages). Now it has 44!
It took about 2 to 3 hours to layout the basics and another hour or so to fine
tune. All in all about 3 to 4 hours, I guess.
Modelling it (creating the MPD) took many more hours though. If you take those
hours into account it took over 100 hours to create the model and BI. It is a
lenghty process, but fun to do!
If the model is published, I will let you all know where to find it. Its not
that big a secret, but I wish to publish the final version. (Kevin is the only
one who knows what model it is :-)
Something else:
I did find a free PDF editor which allows me to further enhance the BIs.
For instance, Id like to move one pointer of a callout to the background so the
assembly is in front and add an exclamation mark to point out that you need to
place one instance of a submodel on the side of the model that you cannot see
without making use of an extra rotation step. (wow, what a sentence :-)
I dont know if I am allowed to mention what PDF editor I use here?
But it being a free evaluation copy it adds a watermark to pages you edit.
However I am lucky to have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional at work which
allows me to remove the watermark again, hence giving me clean pages! There are
probably other PDF editors that can do that. Pitty that Acrobat Professional
does not provide functions I need to use first hand.
