Hey Kevin,

First impression is great! It works really smooth. I've a few questions though:
*When I change the scale, it changes the 'zoom' of the step image, but not the
dimensions. I've looked in all the settings dialogues but I can't seem to make
the step image any bigger.
*When you open a file it defaults to 1 step per page. You can manually move
steps around on the pages, but that's a lot of work for a big model. Is there a
way to start out with 2 or 3 steps per page?
*What does '0 !LPUB ASSEM MARGINS m n' do? I've played around with it but I
can't see any difference (except when I enter a negative value and I get an
error and no image).
*I found a setting for "Parts list per step" in the Callout settings. I
unchecked the box and notice this line in the file:
0 !LPUB CALLOUT PLI PER_STEP FALSE
Yet when I cleared the cache and tried the instructions again I still got a
parts list per step in the sub models. Did I miss anything?

Thanks!

Ronald

Hi Ronald,
Thanks for trying the new LPub.

Which method did you use for changing scale?  The application menu has a
Configure menu.  The Assembly sub-menu has a Scale control that sets the scale
before the first step, which means it applies to the entire set of building
instructions.  Also, the Part List sub-menu, on the Contents tab, also has a
Scale control that applies for the entire building instructions.

Changing the scale using the popups affects only the current step.

A scale of 1.0 is real size.  Changing scale to 2.0 should make its size
double.

No, there is no way to request multiple steps per page as a default.  To get
multiple steps per page you must place your cursor over the assembly image of
the only step on the page and use the popup menu's "Add next step" menu item to
get two steps per page.  You must manually add each new step to the page.  With
your cursor over the last step of the page, you can "Add next step".  With your
cursor over the first step of the page, you can "Add previous step", which takes
the step from the previous page (even if the step is part of a step group).

Given that you have never used LPub before, I can see why having to add each
step individually to a page might seem laborious.  Had you worked with previous
LPub verions, you would be greatly relieved to only have to click one menu item
to add a new step.

  ASSEM MARGINS x y

Supposedly set the amount of blank space around the assembly image of a step.
It is supposed to apply to anything placed next to the assembly in single step
pages.  It could be broken, so I'll dig into it.

It sounds like "Parts List Per Step" control is broken.  I will fix it.

Kevin
