LSynth implement's Larry's string cross section (no use ducking Larry) to create
string using the hose synthesis class (this means splined strings with nice
smooth curves).
I think that a string type that uses pulleys as constraints is important too.
The two synthesis classes: hose and band (i.e. spline and arcs/tangents) are
separate things, yet string fits naturally into both.
The right answer is to allow synthesis for both classes. To do this currently,
I need two names, one for splining and one for arc/tangent. Also in arc/tangent
I'll have to allow elimination from the last constraint back to the first
constraint.
Anyone got any ideas for naming of these two implementations of string?
Alternate ideas?

| (...) Umm... you REALLY should use a better string element than mine! It is really not very accurate as it doesn't model the three strands at all. It was just a quick hack, and it has fixed colors, if LEGO ever do red or white string it won't work. (...) (20 years ago, 26-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad)
