Re: ldraw based import parts —Gregory J. Overkamp
(...) You seem to have linked the same picture twice, so i'm not sure which part you are referring to in terms of the rear canopy. As for the second piece, I modified 6238 to reduce it by one stud length and created a new piece from this. Some (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: ldraw based import parts —Darrell Urbien
(...) Whoops! I meant (URL) The Toyota Paseo. (...) LOL. I thought the only "custom" parts were Tom's; I spent a week making his parts on an RP machine... only to be foiled by your custom parts! Oh well. I ended up modifying some of your designs (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: ldraw based import parts —Gregory J. Overkamp
(...) First, the rear hatch is part 4858 on peeron (see (URL) just in transparent blue. Of course lego doesnt make the wedge in transparent colors, but thats the beauty of ldraw. Yes, I actually made a few custom parts, some of them modified or (...) (20 years ago, 7-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: My Big Phat RP Parts —Joe Strout
(...) Those are really cool! Thanks for sharing them. If I, as a small hobbyist, wanted to make a batch of parts in this way, what would my options be? Is there any company that will take a CAD file, print a small batch of parts, and mail them to (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.parts.custom)

Re: My Big Phat RP Parts —Darrell Urbien
(...) Thanks - as I said, it was fun making them. (...) The short answers to your last two questions are "yes" and "yes."       (...) Hey! Tom's parts/Greg's models originally call for under-car neon. (URL) Sounds like it's time for a little more collaboration. Darrell (20 years ago, 14-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.parts.custom, FTX)

         Rollin' on '20s —Darrell Urbien
(...) Hey Rob, evidently LEGO was listening to you (and watching MB Nano car kits flying off the shelves) because the latest micro-ish Racers kits (esp. 8643 and 8644) have very nice large diameter aluminium rims and low profile tires.          Re: My Big Phat RP Parts —Darrell Urbien
(...) Thanks, Greg, it means a lot to me that you like them. Now if we could only reach Tom Burger, that would be perfect - I tried to email him using the address on his last LUGNET post, but it bounced back to me. I guess I'll try his website email (...)
