Re: Using parts in p\48\ (was: part 2951, more questions, nearly done)

(...) Sure, no problem. I prefer to inline and find the true coordinates of the polygons in the primitives, though. There may be some small rounding errors both in your sine calculations and in LEdit's, and if they don't match, you'll get small (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  RE: OMR Filenaming Standard Change?

Hi, (...) I agreee. (...) Maybe I don't remember correctly, but until now I assumed that the term 'alternate model' refers to those models in the instruction booklet that can be built from the same set of parts. Just to clear my understanding, (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Maybe we could collaborate on this.... I've got a couple ideas for parts of the logo, but I know if a few of us work together it could be a lot better. LMKWYT Jameson Robert Gagnepain JamesonRobert.com Web Services (URL) #17714608 (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.datfest)

(...) Exactly what I was thiking about doing. Again, this is after we have received permission from each author to republish their work on CD and include it in a package for registration in exchange for funds etc etc.. -Tim (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.datfest)

  Re: Introducing and Planning .datFest

(...) Yeah, that's the main one I'm shooting for. Though it would be excellent to help out other LDraw experts on a per-needed basis with travel expenses. (...) Heck yeah... Hopefully by then the OMR will be running and substantial, so we could put (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.datfest)

(...) That'd be great! :) Although I'm probably one of the closest... It would be really great to pay the Jessimans' trip... (...) LDraw doesn't take up much room--you could put tons of extra stuff on a CD... (...) I could give it a shot... (...) (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.datfest)

  Re: 2951 (not quite finished)

(...) The primitive .dat files invert the colour internally, so if you code 1 16 ..... it ends up correct. If you code 1 24 .... you end up inverting the inverse colour which is not correct. Chris (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: O'Reilly book update: free online building instructions

(...) Luckily Mindstorms is not my only Technic set :-) so I have a Minerva robot up and running.   Re: 2951 (not quite finished)

I took a brief look at the part and I'd say it looks great! Of course, I cannot verify that the dimensions of the bucket are correct, but it certainly looks good.   Re: Using parts in p\48\ (was: part 2951, more questions, nearly done)

You only need to temporarily inline the last curve segment and check the coordinates of the polygon on (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

O'Reilly book update: free online building instructions

Hello, The Minerva robot, from _The Unofficial Guide to LEGO MINDSTORMS Robots_, has been redesigned for RIS 1.5. Because RIS 1.5 has fewer gears than RIS 1.0, Minerva cannot be built with the parts from RIS 1.5 alone. The redesigned robot, Mineva (...)   Re: Using parts in p\48\ (was: part 2951, more questions, nearly done)

(...) Uhhh I see:) Well that explains my problems then. (...) Hmm Why to the segment? Or is the vague idea I have about inlining completely wrong? I think of it as a tool to put an unofficial primitive into the part file, e.g. by replacing a type 1 (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
