  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) Thanks for that, I'll have a play. I suspect that the problem is likely to be the latest version of the graphics card driver! I tend to keep stuff up to date and LDView certainly worked in the past on this hardware (might have been a previous (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: License questions

(...) Anybody... ? An alfa version of a pov export you'll find here: (URL) would really like to get an 'official' answer to this. (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  POV-Ray help needed

Hello all, I have been busy with POV-Ray export for LD4DStudio now and then for about two weeks now. It comes along quite nicely, but the results can be better. I am no POV-Ray expert so I'm looking for some tips from experienced users. An example (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) Maybe it requires a very specific version of the VB or .NET runtimes? Sometimes software won't behave if you don't have the exact version it was written for. -Mike (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) It appears that the crash is happening in the ATI OpenGL driver. (Note: I'm not saying that the ATI driver is responsible for the crash, just that that's where it's crashing.) Some things to try: Create the following DWORD registry key and set (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Problem with LDView

I have a problem with LDView. When I open any file it gets as far as Calculating Size and crashes out. Error signature AppName: ldview.exe AppVer: 3.2.0.5 ModName: atioglxx.dll ModVer: 6.14.10.5014 Offset: 004353b7 It saves an appcompat file <?xml (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub4 Alpha3 available

(...) I'd start with Assem Setup and Parts List Setup and reduce the scale. Kevin (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub4 Alpha3 available

(...) OK. I tested the results using 11.0 by 8.5 which results in a landscape page fitting the page area. Unfortunately my design does not fit anymore, but I guess I have to edit it to get a landscape result. Back to the drawing board for me, I say! (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LDraw road macro update

(...) Cool POVray macro. I may be forced to use this when I post future CAD car MOCs. Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: I had to get something out before Brickworld

(...) --snip-- (...) Wow! This is great. Thanks to Travis I have it up and running and boy does it make instruction creation easy. Very, very cool! Thanks heaps, Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  LDraw road macro update

I've updated my LDraw road macro for POV-Ray. The macros have mostly been combined into a single item and now use a more convenient syntax. I've also added an Archemedes spiral in addition to the Nautilus spiral, and removed the dependancy on Chris (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: LPub 4 on Vista? was Re: I had to get something out...

Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

Re: LPub 4 on Vista? was Re: I had to get something out...

(...) I just noticed a problem when using LDView as LPub's renderer. LPub (alpha 3) isn't using the -SaveActualSize=0 command line option, so if you don't have the "Save image with specific size" check box checked in LDView's Save Snapshot dialog, (...)   Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

(...) I assume that's what the and on is for ;) But I don't remember where we host the file... sorry but Mike's is as or more up to date anyway. Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

Re: LPub 4 on Vista? was Re: I had to get something out...

(...) I just got a new machine with Vista Home Premium 32-bit on it, and the LPub posted in (URL) this post> works fine on it with LDView 3.2 (aside from the minor problems I posted about). --Travis (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: I had to get something out before Brickworld

--snip-- (...) Ironically I've met some mathematicians who worked with TLG on this problem about five years ago. Their conclusion of "it can't be done" seems to be holding out still. I'll stick to LPub and (now less) elbow grease. Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

LPub 4 on Vista? was Re: I had to get something out...

--heavy snipping-- (...) Hi Kevin, I really, really can't wait to try this and just did up some new instructions for an old MOC as a first test for it. But... I'm a forced Vista user (thanks HP) so I need to be sure it's going to work and not ruin my (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)
