  Flexible hose generator enhancement

It could be a good idea to keep in memory the last points coordonates inputed in the hose generator. I said that because I use it a lot and I must adjust my hose many times to find the good way and each time I must rewite all coordonates even if I (...)   Re: needed parts 45982 and 41896

  Re: Feature question

(...) The way I handle this is to manually drag all the parts to the 'favorites folder' Then I copy the file to all the computers I use. This works well to limit the number of parts I have to search through. I give this file for the common sets to (...) (18 years ago, 18-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Proposal for MLCad.ini Enhancements

In the course of writing a minifigure generator for my Bricksmith program, I've really come to appreciate how nifty it is to have something like the MLCad.ini file to work with. I've very grateful to the people who designed and maintain it. However, (...) (18 years ago, 18-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: Using Blender to animate Ldraw models

(...) Sorry, I didn't find anything to access that function. It might actually be neat to do at rendering stage, and a somewhat similar effect can be reached using subsurf and creases.. not quite right, though. (18 years ago, 15-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Feature suggestion - auto-add optional line

If I have two triangles selected A-B-C and B-C-D adding a conditional/optional line primitive should pre-populate the dialog boxes with B-C-A-D (18 years ago, 17-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Hangin' around

(...) I agree (mostly), which is why LDView doesn't support JPEG snapshots, even with color subsampling disabled. Implementing JPEG support would be fairly easy, but I've always felt that it wasn't appropriate. Having said that, I don't personally (...) (18 years ago, 16-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) which IMO are so detrimental for all pictures containing high frequencies (=sharp edges). PNG is lossless, and doesn't generate anything like that. I know what I would use... JPEG is (maybe?) good for continous color changes, ie photos. (18 years ago, 15-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Hangin' around

(...) Hi Travis, I didn't realise that you could switch off parts of jpeg compression. Very handy to know. I didn't quite spell it out in my previous post but I actually meant for raytraced images rather than general renders. For edge-lined renders (...) (18 years ago, 16-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Hangin' around

(...) In my experience JPEG versions of computer-generated pictures only really look good when you turn off color sub-sampling during the JPEG compression. Many (most?) programs that allow you to create JPEG images don't support this option. It also (...) (18 years ago, 15-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
