Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

Hi Chris, something like that is already available on the official LEGO® website: (URL) perhaps the Lugnet community could improve the list? With a search function? What is still missing is a possibility to add new grey parts in an MLCAD file so (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Ross and Jason... very cool. You tow are great. I must admit, I feel a bit guilty that I can't really help with that kind of endeavor. Chris (18 years ago, 17-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Can I make Ldraw parts from CAD files ?

I'd like to make .DAT part files of 6 custom lego-compatible elements that I have designed and molded. They were created in Solidworks 2006. Is there a way to convert from that file directly to an Ldraw file? If not, is there an interim file type (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

(...) As Ross mentioned, xsl is definitely the way to go for collecting the data. I actually started playing with the xml files a little while ago. Here's what I currently have: (URL) pretty basic at the moment, being just a static html page, but (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

(...) Well, seeing a challenge there, and not having used XSL before, I started working on a XSL solution :) Got something basic working, I'll let you know when I have something usable ;) ROSCO (18 years ago, 16-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

(...) Another possibility is to write a program that grabs the info from the XML files. The available parts are listed in database/bricks/NNNN...ctory.tix, the table to convert the LDD colours to LDraw is in database/ldraw.xml Some of the part (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

MBC 3 (At very long last)

MBC 3 finally after several years of development is available. Actually I've just been so busy at work that I haven't had time to write any code (the new tunnel is nearly complete now), so the application was initially started in 2004 and now in (...)   Re: LeoCad version 0.75

(...) Hi, tankx for this offer but I'll wait for the next official update because meanwhile I found another (maybe unusual) way to move pieces in very fine steps: If a new piece is inserted and the "Angle Snap Toggle" button is not locked, shift (...)   Re: LeoCad version 0.75

(...) You're right, I'll switch the front and back cameras. I'm just trying to get everything to be more consistent and easier to use. (...) This is a bug, I broke it while adding the new snap options but I've just checked in a fix. If you want I (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: Minifig generator for macosx?

I hate GTK and I wouldn't want to offer a version with non native Win32 or OSX look, it's just too ugly and scares users. I've written a Linux GTK application at my previous job and ported it to Win32 later and I had terrible feedback from users, (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Creating a Catalogue of LDD Elements

I prefer to design models using LDGlite instead of LDD, but constantly checking LDD for part availability is, well, troublesome. I usually wind up with one computer running LDD and the other running LDGLite just so I can look at the parts that are (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Minifig generator for macosx?

Hi Leo, Couldnt the OSX version just build with the same GTK bindings? I thought that would be able to run. Maybe some of the code from the Linux stuff could be refactored and made to run in the OSX build. You have got me thinking now, about (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)
