Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) That starts getting more difficult for a few reasons. First of all, the tracker would have to return all the dependent files on the tracker in addition to the requested files. Many of these files could well be already present on the end-user's (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LSC - current status?

(...) Could the translation not be managed at the user end? For example we could make a program "partstranslate" which reads in one or more translation table(s) (just Swedish in this case) and goes through all parts adding a new line something like (...)   Re: LSC - current status?

(...) Actually, I don't have a problem with changing part header information with an admin edit without destroying the existing votes, and have done this many times. I would draw the line at changing data which affects the integrity of the part - (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) Shouldn't be a problem at all. If it's anything significant, I'll just start mirroring the DAT files to media.peeron.com, and have you use that. Then it certainly wouldn't be an issue. (...)   Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)

(...) We could use "rod" as a short base name for these. Do we need to allow for non-360 degree versions? I didn't see any requirements for partial cylinders in the thread so far. Was that implicit in the request? 1) If not, one would be to use a (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)

Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)

(...) Wow. How did you create this masterwork? Was it all manual, or did you use specialized tools? That's a great amount of detail! Hmm, another 8 letters to go, and you'd have a complete alphabet... Steve (18 years ago, 15-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

hi folks, I just uploaded this part to the PT: (2 URLs) considering the sheer number of subparts it'll take probably ages to put it through the reviews but inlining the letters would have blown the file to some 250 KB. 8-) w. (18 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
