Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Bug report: (This happens in every version I've tried, by the way.) When you do the Generate->CSIs, PLIs and BOM, and then go do other things on your computer, LPub uses 100% CPU on the machine once it's finished, and has the progress panel (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Here's what I did to get LDView to work. First, you need to be using LDView 3 Beta 1. LPub won't work right with LDView 2.x. In LDView, go into preferences, then to the Preference Sets tab, and create a preference set named LPub. Apply that (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Mangled URL alert! Try here: (URL) also added a link on the main ldglite site. Look for the "Beta Version" windows executable. Enjoy, Don (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Is it still there in 2.3.0.7? It was supposed to be removed..... Maybe I removed it and saved a .lpb. I'll check when I get home. Yes. removing the -Z90000 is critical. LPub now figures out a value for this on the fly. Thanks for mentioning it (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Thanks! I was hoping you'de pop in here soon! (...) Run LDView outside LPub, and edit/save your preferences. I don't think that the preferences have anything to do with view angle though. LPub communicates that to LDVIew (and ldglite) through (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Are you *sure* you have erased the part image cache? In case you are using Windows pre 2000, it has problems. I've got to debug that. If you're savvy with the system, and are willing to dig in, it would be a big help. Drop me a note and I'll (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Thank goodness someone else had this problem. I spent hours last night trying to solve both of these issues and was beginning to feel very stupid as noone else had reported the same problem. Perhaps Kevin could post the .lpb file (hope I (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) I had the same problem that I solved by removing the -Z90000 default LdGLite user option (perhaps it was previous install dregs). Philo (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Works fine now! (I have yet to find how to change layout page dimensions, but I guess I have to plunge deeper in documentation...) Thanks ;o) Philo (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

Time for me to come in! First of all: being able to render with LDView and LDGLite is GREAT!!! However I have a problem: I cannot seem to be able to render in isometric view in LDView and no images are generated using LDGLite. Can you, Kevin, or (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Double Stack 10170

With bated breath I am awaiting a mid-June arrival of two double stack 10170 sets. My intent is to build them into either a three or four bay set. My skills in CAD are insufficient to build up the set in LDraw from the pictures released so far. Is (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Spherical Podule  [DAT]

This is the DAT file for my Spherical Stellar Cartography Podule. Each part of the structure tells you how many to build. You need one stand, one base and one top. The stand uses the 'Classic' Moonbase standard, so you'll have to put longer legs on (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) I think it's probably because ldglite defaults to the 2/3 screen offset used by LDRAW and ldlite, while l3p defaults to the center of the screen. You might be able to work around it (for now) by providing an offset in the ldglite command line (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Yes, and we have a fix. LPub automatically centers the 3D model about the origin. ldglite draws the origin at 2/3 of the way down the window, so it ends up rendering it partially off screen. You can manually work around this by using the (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Blazingly fast indeed... But I can't get it render complete images: (URL) (LPub 2.3.0.6, LdGLite 1.1.6, Windows 2000). Any hint? TIA, Philo (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Yeah, I can never remember how to attach gdb to a running process, so that one isn't in my usual bag of tricks. I'll have to try harder to remember it next time. Fortunately for me, Kevin already found the bug in lpub. :^) Don (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
