Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) You're welcome. Just to check, LDView still doesn't generate exactly the same viewing angle as L3P, right? (That was next on my list of things to fix.) Also, it's worth noting that the -SaveAlpha=1 command line setting in LDView 3 might have (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) If you were having trouble getting good renders I certainly could see why you wouldn't like it! But these tired eyes have lots of trouble with instructions even WITH the thick black edge lines. (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) new LSynth soon so people can have this fix. Travis sent me a updated beta LDView, so I re-rendered pedmatic, and all the hoses look great. IMHO, LDView (and soon ldglite) is a superior solution to POV-RAY and MEGAPOV. The MEGAPOV solution is (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Question for the LSC. Blanks in file names legal?

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) This bug in LPub (requiring POV-Ray) will be fixed *very* soon. I've been wrestling with ldglite as well, but I'm having problems getting the command line option for saving the file and exiting does not seem to work (or, more probably, I've (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) Hi Kevin, Can I join in the fun? Say I want to run a minimal setup of LPub with only ldglite as the renderer. I had this going a while back, but the latest version won't even let me get started. I get the dialog box with "Cannot find POV-Ray, (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) <snip> (...) I fixed a few LPub problems with LDView, and got some instructions out. They look great! It seems that there are some problems with LSynth hoses and LDView. They render nicely under the offical LDView, but not under beta. Except (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Question for the LSC. Blanks in file names legal?

(...) (Note FUT lugnet.cad.dev) I realize that spaces are officially a no-no, but since I've also seen files that contain references to sub-models with spaces in the filenames, I'm adding support for this to the next LDView release. It will generate (...) (19 years ago, 15-May-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

  A Tree and a Tower

I finally got around to converting some of my CAD stuff into real world models. (2 URLs) Click the pics. Enjoy, Chris. (19 years ago, 15-May-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.town, FTX) !

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) Actually, I added a MessageBox call to the very beginning of LDView so that I could attach a debugger. It never showed up, and L3P ran and generated POV files, so I really don't think it's running LDView for me. (...) I'll take a look. (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Dat file for x1201 1x1 plate with tooth

Hello all! Has anyone a self-made dat file for the 1x1 tooth plate or any good substitute for that part? This is the part: (URL) I would be glad for any help. Best greetings, Chris (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) LPub has LDView render popped down, so you don't see the window pop up. I was trying to render (URL) using LDView. Not only is there a problem with the lens angle and such, LDView doesn't handle hoses generated by LSynth very well. They look (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) Hi Kevin. I want to fix LDView so that the camera angle and what-not matches the L3P output as closely as possible. However, I can't seem to get LPub to use LDView as a renderer. I select LDView.exe from the list on the Renderer tab, and then (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) LPub 2.3.0.2 is available. It fixes the problem Philo discovered with transparency and layouts. Kevin (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: CCW vs CW

(...) If it's not a whole lot of trouble, I would recommend it. (The conversion can be made automatic, as long as the individual files clearly state CW or CCW correctly.) Speaking as a computer graphics professional, I can say for sure that being (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Hi Kevin, Is this really a problem? It strikes me that this is the 'proper' behaviour for a 24bit raytraced image. I would prefer an option to switch off the alpha as sometimes I may wish to use this feature (eg. if I had a white background (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  CCW vs CW

The (URL) Language Extension for Clipping (BFC)> states in the Parts Library Guidelines section that Primitives should always use CCW winding. However some of the primitives use CW, for example (URL) rect.dat>. Should these be rewritten? Would it be (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) It does it... and well: (URL) (composited with Photoshop) (...) OK... I hope you'll get that working, I tend to prefer LDView style for instructions (should be faster too). Ah, another minor point: it would be nice if LPub remembered the last (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Hi Philo, That is very interesting. I'll try these cases here. It looks like POV-Ray is providing an alpha channel that is not completely opaque. I didn't think it did this. It should be easy to fix I think. (...) The LDView and LDGLight parts (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
