  Ryan's overhauled site

I'm happy to announce after half a year in the making, my entirely re-designed web site has been launched! Visit (URL) to see it. With its new look, Virtual Construction has a better face for the world, and you can even see a separate experimental (...)   Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

Very curious??? A question, can you select multiple parts in the text editor using the shift key? This routine is handled by the NSDrawer manager not MBC, so it may at least see if it's my keyboard mapping. Additionally, do these other keys work? 1. (...)   Re: Newbie L3PAO/POV-RAY Question

  Re: New Part: Modulex\brk0220.dat - Modulex (R) Brick 2 x 20

(...) OK, I see the problem. (...) This is a good idea. So I would agree with that. CU Bernd (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

(...) How about mapping the Backspace or Delete keys (beware of Powerbook owners) to the "Clear"-command in the "Edit"-menu for deleting selected pieces...? :-) Greetz, Anton (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Newbie L3PAO/POV-RAY Question

(...) The all-in-one installer will install BOTH POV-Ray 3.1g and 3.5 if you select custom install and choose to install MEGAPOV (it will also install POV-Ray 3.1g.) Likewsie you can find POV-Ray 3.1g here: <ftp://ftp.povray.or...Versions/> (...) (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

(...) Echoing Chris and Jamess, I tried the all 4 shift keys (built-in and USB external keyboards) and both the trackpad and USB mouse buttons to no avail. (...) Sounds good. (...) I'd appreciate that, thanks! Tom (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Newbie L3PAO/POV-RAY Question

(...) Don't woory about this error. I've tried to fix this problem myself to no avail. POV-Ray and L3PAO don't seem to get along. Anyway, L3PAO works just fine as you said and all you need to do is open the file L3P creates is to double click the (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Newbie L3PAO/POV-RAY Question

Okie dokie, my question this time: When I launch L3PAO I get the following message: "POV-Ray could not be verified as installed on this system. L3PAO will run, but auto-rendering of .L3P-generated files will not be available." Other than this, it (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Newbie LSynth Question

(...) OK, bad form to reply to yourself but I'm going to in this case just to document the solution I found to this problem in case others run into it. To solve this I downloaded LSynth from Kevin Clague's site and installed it. It now works like a (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

(...) Doesn't work on my G5 desktop with a 2 button mouse, not matter which buttons (r/l) or which shift/control/option...right/left keys I press. Just seems to be gone. James (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: New Part: Modulex\brk0220.dat - Modulex (R) Brick 2 x 20

(...) I'm inclined to agree, as I have been struggling with this conceptual problem, since borrowing a selection of Modulex with the intention of authoring some parts for LDraw. Are there any Modulex parts that _do_ actually bind with regular LEGO? (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: Modulex\brk0220.dat - Modulex (R) Brick 2 x 20

(...) Have you really considered the consequenses when modelling? It will be almost impossible to calculate the positions of the parts. Or at least very, very time consuming. /Tore (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.1b1 New Release

(...) I bet that I will think it is super cool. snip (...) Very weird. I just checked again, and I even rechecked mouse behavoir. Neither the mouse nor the track pad will do multiple selections by shift clicking. I have noticed in the past (in a (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: New Part: Modulex\brk0220.dat - Modulex (R) Brick 2 x 20

(...) I think the scale of Modulex parts should hardcoded (62.5% of normal size in dat-code). No separation. So it has the same norm as the "normal" Lego parts (1 mm = 2.5 LDU). CU Bernd (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  New Part: Modulex\brk0220.dat - Modulex (R) Brick 2 x 20  [DAT]

I don't know... It feel like it's easier to model with even LDU's. If you wish to mix real LEGO with Modulex, build a separate Modulex model file and scale down the intire with 0.625. I think it's better to do it this way. What do you think? If you (...) (21 years ago, 19-Feb-04, to lugnet.cad)
