Re: New To LDraw... Is the Chrome Light Sabre handle available for use?

If you downloaded the latest parts update (it might have been the one before too), it is already in the library. It is called a "Minifg Tool Light Sabre Hilt", part number 577.dat, and can be found in the "m" section of "other" in MLCad. (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

New To LDraw... Is the Chrome Light Sabre handle available for use?

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

LPub uses: -cg0,0 -ca30 by default. LPub controls view angle by rotating all the parts to match rotation step specification and view coordinates. It seems like this qualifies as auto-centerable, but it does not always work. Kevin (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

(...) L3P can perform automatic camera positioning only when you use -cg<la>,<lo>[,<r>] camera globe position, default is 30,45,0 and radius is <= 0. -ca<a> is allowed too. Otherwise you have constrained the camera too much. /Lars (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

So to clarify, rather than use the ortho setting, you are choosing the camera angle setting and using a 1? Is that it, or are you doing additional stuff?   Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

I ran into the want for orthographic camera, with my pneumatic adding machine MOC, and made some discoveries. You can simulate orthographic images with a camera angle of 1.   Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

Hi Tim, I've been working on a model with lots of synthesized pneumatic hoses, and it is about 16M (it qualifies as large). I found that LPub didn't handle this well at all. It would not choke, but it took a very long time. I tracked it down to (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

Where can I find part 65401?

I know that I had this part at one time. It's that steering arm with 3 ball joints from the 8448. I cannot find it any place I look.
