  Re: Detemining Bad Vertex Sequence

(...) What would be especially good is if there was an option to test and flip adjacent polygons. Once the winding of one polygon is known, adjacent polygons can be automatically wound correctly. So you click one red polygon, and all the polygons (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  BrickDraw3D bleeda

Now parts dragging is implemented for the model! It is at last possible to build. And to save files. I have solved several nasty bugs too. So expect a release in a day. Not so much a "beta" as a "bleeda". -Erik (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.7 Released ***

(...) The files are located on case-sensitive file systems (that's all I have - except for some floppies), but the file names used in the files match the names on the disk (maybe except for some stuff in "p/"). I use all lower case for the LDraw (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

Where are these to be found? (was Re: LDraw.org Parts Update 2002-04 Now Available)

(...) Hmmm, now I seem to be missing some elements or subfiles... Does anyone have or know where I can find: 1-4cone.dat stu22c.dat stu22cl.dat stu24b.dat ring5.dat ??? I tried getting them from Ldraw.org via the filepath thingy and even the parts (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Detemining Bad Vertex Sequence

(...) I use LDAO in combination with L3Lab. - Ensure your dat file has a "0 BFC CERTIFY CW" - Set the "stop at cursor" option in the LDAO editor. - Set the mytest6 and autofresh options L3Lab (and leave the BFC option on) - Step through the file in (...)   all hail the hex

ok, this was a miracle. I went to the bar, came home and read the post to this thread and scratched my head. searched for a hex editor which i've never even hear of... and found Hex Workshop demo. these guys are great. I ended this problem in an (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: lgeo renders wrong part

and a hex editor is? we're getting way the f--- outside of my range of expertise... but i'm still pointed in the right direction. And motivated enough to work all the way through this. I have this odd stinking feeling this is going to be a lot like (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Detemining Bad Vertex Sequence

I would like to identify if a much simpler program exists... given a red/green render like L3Lab mytest6 can produce and a way to tell which quad/tri goes with which render, let me point at a quad/tri and just reverse the order of the vertices (...)   Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.7 Released ***

(...) I'm not sure if this helps, but you could borrow the code from ldglite for case sensitive filenames. Or at least examine it for ideas. It also has hooks for MacOS which you should think about since there's a Mac version of LDView now, right? (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Detemining Bad Vertex Sequence

  Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.7 Released ***

(...) Thanks for the report. My first guess is that this is caused by a case-sensitive filesystem, and the files have a different case than what the model specifies. All my testing at home was done using an LDraw install on my Windows drive that I (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Detemining Bad Vertex Sequence

Hi, I've created a program to automaticaly BFC certify ldraw parts. Before release this program, I need to make more tests and improve its performace. Two things that I must fix before trying to certify any part, is correct the bad vertex sequence (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: *** LDView Version 1.9.7 Released ***

(...) Cool. Thanks. I downloaded the Linux/x86 binary to what I believe is a Red Hat 7.3 system (might be 7.2 though), to test it. Even though the "File" -> "LDraw Dir" menu shows the correct directory, LDView claims that it is unable to find the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)
