  Re: Hi-res sphere?

(...) Travis Cobbs made one once upon a time. I used it in this MPD file. (URL) doesn't have type 5 lines yet, but in the comments he promised to add them if anyone uses the sphere primitive in their parts. :) Don (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

(...) You can use the rotational option in Forester- and using the model choord on the map I know it may be confusing, but fiddle around with the program. It gets really easy. I'll show you some of my stuff when some of this work load lightens :( (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

<Snip> (...) I have the unregistered version of Forester. In that version YOU CAN add a sky with clouds. It is 3D clouds that you can NOT add or the grass. There are ways around this off course. 1) Buy it or 2) 'think on the non-legit side' In any (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Hi-res sphere?

I'm working on some parts that will need a hi-res 1/8 sphere primitive. Has anyone done up a version of this? How about a 3D tool that could build it? If I don't hear anything within a couple of days, I'll probably start working up the part in (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

(...) Lucky! I can't afford the $35 to register... without sky and grass, Forester loses some of its purpose. Please give us more information! John Kruer (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

Yeah, Forester is what I used :) But now we gotta work on that texture. Kai (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

(...) Did I hear this right? Another "tutorial" author? =) Please let me know so that I can update the LDRAW tutorial list. (...) Not to be outdone. Check this image out to see what FORESTER can do. I did it following the on-line tutorial. (URL) be (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

Teaser for all you Terragen Addicts :P

Well I got it to work. .Pov files into Terragen heightfeilds (texture has to be worked on) I will be writing up a guide to doing this. It's a lot easier (no offense) than Ahui's way. Take a look: (URL) not pretty, but it is added in. I will work on (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Online Mac instructions.

(...) I'd consider ldglite more of an UNpopular FIRST generation editor. If you use the linux parts, you'll have to tell how to unzip and untar them on OS 8 and 9. (and probably on OSX as well) I think the ldlite instructions only cover the command (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Online Mac instructions.

(...) Since this is the dev group, I'll go ahead and post the non-public URL here. DISCLAIMER: This page is NOT COMPLETE and you may encounter difficulty using it to set up LDraw on the Mac. We're not responsible if you screw something up ;-) (URL) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Online Mac instructions.

OK, so I have made a preliminary getting started page. I basically took the Windows page and changed the names, commented out the images, and sent it to Tim. What it needs: - Images for ldglite and BrickDraw3D, 150x134 (see the Windows getting (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  9V Track Crossing (32087.dat)

Hi, I updated my 'on the shellf' folder on Brickshellf with some new pictures from the 32087.dat part or better known as the Train Track 9V Crossing. (URL) have one question, before my first release.   Re: Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

In January Lars told me that he wants to finish porting L3P to linux first, and then he will focus on the Mac. I offered to help, but he wants to control the code and he has a friend who is a Mac programmer who will help him. I don't see why this (...)   Re: Rubber belts modelling utility

(...) I was imprecise. I was thinking of pulleys that are rotated 90º in relation to each other. It would look something like this in plan. (sorry for this bad diagram) Ox- "O" = big pulley "x" = belt "-" = pulley rotated 90º Or here's a good (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Animation

(...) Are you working with Jimmy Figiel <jimmyfigiel@yahoo.com> on this? He has a 'aninamtion' program that will do this.   Animation

Hello all, I am working on a program (Windows) for ldraw animations for about three weeks now and because it's getting kinda cool I was thinking to make it freeware. Has anyone got some ideas for additional features? It will have the following (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

(...) Export to other formats is something I want to do in BrickDraw3D someday. (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.ray)

Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

(...) Another thing you folks still need (aside from documentation and a 2nd generation tool like brickdraw3D) is a bridge from .ldr files to POV. Perhaps someone can persuade Lars to make l3p available on MacOS. Or maybe you can take the lead and (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.ray)
