OK, so I have made a preliminary getting started page. I basically took the
Windows page and changed the names, commented out the images, and sent it to
Tim.
What it needs:
- Images for ldglite and BrickDraw3D, 150x134 (see the Windows getting
started page for an idea of what the images should look like). I will
probably get these tonight, but if someone else beats me to it, I will thank
you.
- Links to ldglite and BrickDraw3D tutorials. I believe they are out there,
but I don't know where (I know that the URL of a ldlite tutorial is in the
ldglite read me, I'll check that out). If anyone knows of a tutorial, can
you email me the URL?
- Create the page for "Step 1", the step where users download the parts. I
had problems with the parts I had installed previously from various sources
(the normal distribution via Virtual PC, BrickDraw3D, etc.,.). The linux
parts seem to work. I also need to iron out the legal issue of distributing
the parts. I heard that they are suppose to be distributed with the
original LDraw application. That would be pretty pointless on the Mac, but
if we had to, well....

| Is anyone working on online documentation for ldraw.org? I want to get this finished, and I would rather not duplicate work. Since there is now a Mac OS 8-9 version, my goal has finally been reached. Yeah, it isn't MLCad, but something like that (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
