I rendered Town00.dat in 800x600. It took 7 minutes and 15 seconds. Last night, I rendered 5 submodels + townpeep.dat at 640x480. It took 2 hours and 44 minutes. (Same combination at quality=0 took something like 20-30 seconds). What I learned fom (...) (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)

Not a full suggestion, but just a thought. I've thought about calling them "minimized" parts, and maybe the extention .min intead of .box. There is a problem though. I was having problems getting this to work in MLCAD so I put it in mpd format. 0 FILE m6824.dat 0 Model #6824: Space Dart I 0 Digital verison by: James Jackson 0 At a later date, #6824 will be recolored for H:Masters. 0 Converted to MPD format by (...) I am running MLCad 2.00 R 4 and I think I may have found a bug in the report for parts I have a large model with several submodels. I was wondering what that first number was. I allready did this part, only I forgot the triads inside block part. Also I used my own RECT-1 primitives in it for the top and sides. (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I would suggest using bits from part 30056 for the bottom half. That's what I did when I worked on the quarter panel with spherous top. Also I would use 1-4CYLI.DAT, 1-4EDGE.DAT, and and 1-4RING3 primitives in the file to reduce size. (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Well, found out that if I start MLCad indirectly by double-clicking on a .DAT or .MPD file, the default grouping is shown. But if I open MLCad first before loadint a model, then the groupings I set up are shown. And I am using an older (v1.99) (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

99% finished, but I was hitting burn-out factor on this one. The bottom needs work, for now has bottom studs in place of the boxed off sections. (...) I've looked up the code and recognized a small bug there. There is no message when it cannot save the group. I guess you do not have write permission to the mlcad directory (e.g. if running from a cd-rom). Also if you have any older version (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
