Hey - Did you use this part in anything yet? I'd be interested in seen a POV image, or getting the .dat file. (...) I just checked this part out on my PC and I'm afraid you're right. The grooves are only simulated with lines. Bummer! But not too difficult to fix, hee hee. Are the ridges (louvers) on the (3856) shutter just lines rather than triangular ridges/grooves? When I render this part in POV it appears as a smooth surface rather than having any grooves. Oh Yeah! I've been waiting forever for this part! I love to use the straight version. I checked out your part. It looks really good.
