Yes, prior to an official update (available from www.ldraw.org) the unofficial
parts are usually posted to http://news.lugnet.com/cad/dat/parts.
The officialisation is current managed via announcements to
http://news.lugnet.com/cad/, such as http://news.lugnet.com/cad/dev/?n=4988.
For almost all my completed parts and most of those done by other authors, the
link in the table on the parts tracker is NOT a link to their eMail address,
but to the posting in that newsgroup containing the DAT file, or to the authors
own web site from whence the DAT friles can be downloaded.
What more do you want??
