Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka

(...) Yeah, one time in a post I figured out exactly how many tread links I used (it may even be in this thread somewhere, if not it was a resulting one) - I recall that the person asking the question was aghast at the notion that they'd be spending (...)   Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka

(...) Hi Lindsay, I didn't pay as *much* attention as I would have liked to to interior design as I did to the exterior ... that is something I would definitely like to go back and address. The largest lapse is in the turret - minifig proportionas (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka

(...) In the past I had made a few tracked tanks and APCs. I didn't have enough of the track pieces so I had to fill in a few gaps with the really thin chain type. It didn't look good at all, but it was all I could do. Too bad I never took any pics (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: WWII Creations: Panzer III and Stuka

(...) Yeah--those are excellent things to own. They've got me full of AFV dreams... Out of curiosity, Shaun: Where did you get your interior shots of the Pz III? I'm digging around looking for authoritative data on the interior of the 38(t), now (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler

(...) Ack! My bad for using an uncertain referent. Overall length. (...) I'm not sure it would need to gain any, really. Maybe a bit of width at the tail (which would then be the midships), but again, only to keep the curvature. The maximum width (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler

(...) Thanks! (...) Thanks for the suggestions... I've got some more grey plates. Some technical questions: - where should it get longer -overall, foredeck, afterdeck? - does it need extra width as well? (it would need to gain a bit to keep the (...)   Re: HMLS Snottler

(...) Oooh! I *do* like the cut of that prow. It's very "escorty"- looking indeed. That forward mounting is quite excellent as well, and I like the raft platform aft. My only suggestion, if it's possible to do: Can you lengthen it about 50%-66%? I (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build.military)

New MOC at Sixby Fire Tech

Hello all, I usually only post my new fire apparatus creations to .town, but due to the type of MOC and the fact I built a non-firefighting version I thought it might serve some passing interest in .build.military.   HMLS Snottler

I've just uploaded pics of my first modern(ish) military vessel to Brickshelf. The HMLS Snottler has been described (by someone who knows more about such matters than me) as a Vietnam era river boat. It's got a medium sized gun on the foredeck, and (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.boats, lugnet.build.military)
