Yes, indeed. Colin Gutierrez' Nodatchi mecha has such a good design
for small mecha w/pilot... I use variations on that. Anyone have a different
good design for small mecha cockpits?

I haven't settled on one yet... I'm still trying to get it right.  But I am
happier with the Panther cockpit than with the previous mecha I've designed...
It's still pretty boxy from the outside, but what I like about it is that the
cockpit opens in a very dynamic, cool, anime-style fashion, with three
inter-leaving panels that fold & slide out of the way.

I'm pretty much happy with the arms & hands, and now only make minor
modifications to those designs.  The legs are still evolving, though, again,
the Panther comes very close to my ideal.
