  Re: Puppy Mecha - F.I.D.O.

(...) Sit, Stay, sniff that mech's butt. This is great. I can't wait to see this at a show in the mecha display. sniffing things, raising a leg on other mechs, carrying a lego catalog to it's master. What fun. Mark Neumann Snow Daddy (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: First mech

(...) Great job Dan. There's like what, nine studs visible? I dig the tandem cockpit. The body seems a bit small to me and the hips a tad big. Great job on the leg tech, I love to see others do a reverse knee. This looks like a light or scout type (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First mech

(...) Thanks! :) (...) The trim color is a carry over from my space building. I started this model with the cockpit. So right away I added the red trim there and I just kept it going. It sure does have an X-Wing look to it. --Dan (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First mech

(...) Yeah, helps with bringing up the rear ;) (...) Originally, I had put some swivel guns on the sides but it was looking too much like the AT-ST. --Dan (21 years ago, 7-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: First mech

(...) This is a wonderful build, Dan. It's just so...clean. The slightly pumped up scale of it is excellent as well. I especially like the colour/detailing of the lower legs...it's almost like an x-wing-ish motiff. Great stuff. Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Dan, Gee, thanks a lot! Now I have to go change myself...I wish you wouldn't sneak up on us and dump "da bombs" like this on us!   Re: First mech

(...) Oh wow, this is really cool. I rarely comment on mecha MOCs, but this is sure classy looking. Looks like the kind of toys I didn't have growing up, but all the neighbors did (I stuck to LEGO) :-) -Tim (21 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First mech

(...) I like the clean look of the legs. The missile launchers rock, and dig that butt cannon. Nobody can sneak up on you. I think the sides of the cockpit can use just a little something, but it's really a minor thing. Sweet. -Grand Admiral (URL) (21 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: First mech

(...) *whistles* Wow. Your canopy design works out to be both effective and very unique...and the missile launcher looks better than anything else I've seen. The lack of studs makes it very sleek looking..although it seems a bit top-heavy. I've (...) (21 years ago, 5-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Technic Axle Pin with Friction (Gil's Sprite Mech)

(...) Oh, it works with TLC's technic stuff -- but yes, it does have the lump in the middle. But it wouldn't work in this case though because the 4x4 round brick attaches via an axle hole (crossed). So it must be a TLC half axle, half pin variant. (...) (21 years ago, 3-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
