But there doesn't seem to be that many parts involved in the red body,
anyway, so you can simply buy 5 8448's to achieve the same thing, right?

Thanks for the review of the 8448, it was very interesting to read.
I think the "modularity" and the different body variations is a good
thing. While the other large car chassis models got built and put on
the shelf, this one seems to encourage the kid to tinker more with the
model. The kid (or adult :-) can try out the different body variations,
which will surely give some more ideas, which can be tried out later
on. I hope we'll see many variations on the basic model on various web
sites later on.
