(...) Hasbro simply licensed the toy from Bandai, if I remember correctly. The Bandi logo is visible in several places on the plastic. This was vaguely scandelous at the time, since Bandi was the primary manufacturer for the Go-Bots, the main (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) the (...) Doh... I forgot to address this. "Robotech" in the US was an assimilation of three unrelated cartoons in Japan: Macross, Genesis Climber Mospaeda, and Orguss. The original VF-1 Valkyrie toys were made by Takatoku toys back in the early 80's. Eventually, Bandai bought the rights from Takatoku and produced some of the later Valkyrie models (like stuff seen in Macross: Do You Remember Love?). After (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Mark, Everytime any one of us pushes the envelope in regards to building style, you come up behind us in a rocket powered craft and knock us right off the course, redefining the envelope in the process.
