Well, Mark, I did take a few small liberties, but I kept the overall 'feel' of the mech the same. I didn't want to change the shape unless I absolutely had to. I like the 'multiple variations' idea. I have finally done it. I got pictures and have uploaded them. (URL) is my baby. Actually it more resembles a fatter middle aged man with a beer gut. I like that a lot. It takes courage to look at something round with domes and strange non-symetrical angles and think, "I'll make that out of Lego"! Jeff: Wonderful little grill. Very inventive use of the white fence piece as the grate. Other great details are the hood using two low slope corner pieces and your use of four 1x2 dark gray tiles on each side to make it look like a tiled countertop. (...) Sweet ship, Jeff! I love the way you interlock different slope bricks to create different planes. I find the scale of it especially satisfying--vast without threatening to crush small onlookers.
