  Billund Building question
 
I was poking through Brickshelf & came across this pic taken from Billund. Does anyone have any thoughts as to how the curve was made? It looks to smooth to be typical bricks staggered at full or even 1/2 stud intervals. (URL) can that be? Thanks (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

Here is the M-2 Varient. It isn't what I thought it was going to be earlier. This varient is a fast courier-like vessel, with speed in design. Anne is no longer working on the site due to personal reasons and the entire site is now being updated by Bob. He has added the new front and is updating the pages himself. the intro animation looks a bit odd on my machine as it dosent load the (...) Lenny- I would have to say no for this time around. I think it would too late in the contest to allow it. I know LDRAW is a great way to make what you have in your head, but may not have the pieces or colors. But I think in an effort to be fair to (...) Nice mecha. You seem to be improving and growing with each new mecha you make. Unlike Mark I like the feet. I dunno maybe it's the weird sort of organic feel to them? Well, one day my son decides he wants to build a minifig sculptures himself, and he makes it 3x actual size. Then he decides to build regular bricks to the same scale (by comparison, Duplo is 2x regular brick size). The results are pretty (...) Well I have complete 2 new buildings for the GATS MichLUG display in January. And got a good start on another. Finally! and all I can say is Wow!! I didn't know it had a cockpit, sweet! Your feet on all of your mecha are awesome, this is no exception, the head is cool too. These are just so nice. The old-school tech is brilliantly utilized and the bright primary colours are a joy to view. Perhaps it is my fault for not knowing the correct way to promote a contest, but I have to say I was expecting more entries... My two bits: Check out people's websites, many have tips. Also gives lots of ideas, "hey, I could do that!!!" This is where I got the first few tidbits for my first mech. Yeah, a lot of mecha builders (Jeremy S., Travis C., Ben V., Karim N., Pat J., etc.) make .DAT files for their models. (...) You can learn a great deal by studying the .dat files many people have been making. This gives you a _large_ library of examples of Mechas. First you need to get a .dat viewer/editor.
