Hi guys, I have just bid on and won an eBay auction for a couple of Boston Redsox minifigs. (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1652103744) According to the seller, these figures are from a lego promotion that got cancelled. Does anyone have any further information about this cancelled set? I don't know if it is genuine or not - to be honest I don't mind because I collect minifigs and I like the look of it, but I was just interested in knowing a bit more about it if anyone knew. Hope you can help - thanks! Richard.

(...) I've seen one of these figs in person (not surprising, since I live in Boston). they are definitely genuine and were given away at the park at least once. (...) This is a little late, and probably not overly helpful, but I can say a bit about them. I own one (it made an appearance at BrickFest '01), which was given to me by someone who attended a Red Sox game in August 1999. According to him they were (...)
