Thanks for the info Greg.

Just in case the seller is a fellow lugneter, I wasn't doubting his
authenticity, but wondered if anybody had any further information about
these figures. At least we now know that they are probably genuine Lego
items.

Anyone else able to shed any information regarding these figures? Anyone got
any?

Richard.

I don't know if it is genuine or not - to be honest I don't mind because • I
collect minifigs and I like the look of it, but I was just interested in
knowing a bit more about it if anyone knew.

Richard -  I can't provide any information about the cancelled LEGO/Red • Sox
promotion but I can vouch for the ebay seller you bought these from and
think that you can be confident that these figs are genuine.  I bought • some
Duplo promo bricks from this seller a while back. These bricks were given • to
employees at the Enfield, CT plant for meeting production quotas.  At that
time the seller also had a couple of other items (obtained from the same
source) such as a LEGO clock (looked exactly like you'd expect a cheesy
coporate gift with a corporate logo to look) and some undistributed • mini-fig
temporary tatoos (Islander chief and Blue Wizard if I remember correctly).
At that time he had also told me about the BoSox mini-figs and requested
help with tracking down information about them.  Unfortunately I was • unable
to dig up info and I know that the seller was also looking into it also. • I
would guess he never found out any more than what he already knew and • wrote
in the auction description.

So anyway, hopefully my experiences with this seller and will help you • feel
good about this purchase.  I'm surprised to see that you got these at the
price you did (compared to brickbay prices for desired figs) and there • were
a lot of them that went unclaimed.

Enjoy!

Greg
