Hey, umm... can I get the link to my lego site
(http://www.angelfire.com/nj3/mysterio/legofleet/legofleet.html) to the list
of websites under lugnet.build.mecha? I'm not sure of the process for that
so I figured this would be the best place to start...

As far as I know, there *is* no process yet. Soon (or not-so-soon), Suzanne
will be implementing the curator idea, and you would be able to email the
curator. Methinks there already is one at .build.mecha, but I'm not sure who.

I'm working from poor memory but I think the curator technology IS in place
and some groups have curators, you can tell because the curators have added
lots of info.

If I were a curator of a group, the first thing I would do would be modify
the group's page (http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/) to say "I am the
curator, contact me at this addy if you have updates or whatever".

I think some curators have done that, but I can't prove it isn't a false
memory because I couldn't find a group (in a quick spot check of just a few)
that had such a notation.

It would be nice to have a master list of curators and their groups. Maybe
one exists somewhere and I just forget where it is.

I really hope that helps because it's all vague suppositioning and faulty
memory.

Well, all I know is that I requested the curatorship of .build.mecha a few
months back and I'm still awaiting a response. There's nothing quite as
frustrating as waiting for a call that never comes. Kinda feels like high school
all over again. ;)

Here's the deal:

I have rcv'd requests from AFOLs, but can't give them top priority today.
I'm facing tasks in line ahead of LUGNET. One of those tasks involves making
it easier to prevent log-jams like this in the future.

I don't expect this delay-status to last much longer. I apologize for being
unresponsive. Please don't mistake it for a lack of caring.

Today I'm using a library connection in Columbia, SC... I'm here for a few
days, exploring and looking for a job. I'm moving down here in December.
More on that later, for those interested.

There is also an issue of my losing 6 weeks of e-mail recently. I've been
planning to make an announcement, requesting people re-send mail regarding
any of their concerns that haven't been addressed. If any of you want to do
that right now, please re-send to: admin@lugnet.com with a title including
"lost mail".

I'll be back in my home office Wednesday a.m. and you'll hear from me then.
