Hi Doug, Looks like a good start! Did you build it with the boiler top horizontal to begin with? Does the stepped top in the photos look better? Ok, got the pics scaned, and they look good! Point your browser to (URL) navigate to the A4 click on Lego, then Trains, then scroll down a bit and click on the LNER A4 Loco text. John, A sort of off-beat challenge would be to build the "strip-chart/EEG" model, the last one in the 8888 idea book. It's one of my favorites and it starts at (URL) goes for 3 or so pages. Alternatively, the mechanically programmable crane just (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) That is indeed a difficult step. I should probably split it in two. First, the top of the inverted T gets connected to the axle #3 which is connected to the teal liftarm. Then, the long frame with the odd angle gets connected to the axle #4 (...) (25 years ago, 30-May-99, to lugnet.build)

I own a Battrax, but 5 years ago I mixed it up inot my big bucket of lego. So, a few weeks ago, I dug it out, but the box is missing. I would like to have a scan of the back of the box, so I can see the alternative models. Can I find one on the (...) (25 years ago, 30-May-99, to lugnet.build)

They have the largest selection of current LEGO (including DACTA) of any retailer in the Greater Boston area (maybe even all of New England) but since they are so unique and popular, things don't stay on the shelves long.
