Weird to answer to my own letter...
Lego has officially put the new Belville sets in the US catalog. Seems it's a
new line now, no longer part of System.
In lugnet.belville, Shiri Dori writes:

The inscription confirms this is indeed a wicked stepmother, they even have
the famous "Mirror Mirror" saying...

In the European catalog she's still a Fairy-Queen, but in the US she's named
Princess Stella.
If she's not a fairy, why's she holding a wand?
Is she Rosaline's sister? Maybe step-sister, coming with the wicked mom?
(I can just imagine a Snow-white/Cinderella storyline...)

| (...) ~ guess again! i'm actually more excited about these sets than the new system castle! most of this stuff looks good sprinkled in among my mini-fig creations. it occurred to me that in m-f scale the rabbit could be "harvey" or dare i say (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.belville)

| (...) Good observation. Yes LEGO is dropping the SYSTEM designation for Belville. So now it is LEGO Belville, like LEGO SCALA. Todd and I won't be able to reflect that in the database right away, but we are aware of the change and it will be applied (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.belville)

| Hi Belville fans, Get a load of this! (URL) at this set, and the pulldown menu - new sets, like the Queen's Chamber, the fairy's house, etc. (The new sets' numbers are 5823 through 5827.) I found this just by clicking the belville link in the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.belville)
