Brickshelf is now soliciting banner ads. For now they are processed by a third
pary service (HTTP Ads), but all ads are selected by Brickshelf. They run
under the gallery content, which varies in location depending on the number of
thumbnails on the page. Anyone can buy ads (subject to our criteria) instantly
with a credit card (though it looks like they start running the next day).
The guidelines for accepting banners are fairly strict, which I'm hoping
will enhance their effectiveness while not diminishing the Brickshelf
experience. In case it's not clear from the listed criteria, there will be
no obnoxious animations, no popup windows, no cookies, just plain images.

Kevin, Is the $5.00 CPM I see at the HTTPADS site mean that I agree to pay a $5.00 credit for ads at $.005 per instance (100 instances), and once my $5.00 is used up, that's it for my ad for the month? | Well, look at it on the good side! At least Brickshelf *chooses* the advertisements, instead of the other way around. That way, companies peddling services and products of "questionable" value will mostly be absent from the site. (which will (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-02, to lugnet.publish)

| The jackass that handled the banner ads for Kevin has started to spam me. This doesn't surprise me given what I learned of him, but this is particularly irritating since he's using one of his obscene domain names and some obscene language. I'm about (...)
